I had the free product (Doubletwist) which syncs via USB, not wirelessly (Doubletwist Airsync). The first couple of times I tried the free version, the program only allowed syncing with my phone's internal hard drive. I have a lot of music so I needed an SD card. Then I read the blogs and FAQs and saw that the program's creators had said the product syncs to internal storage but that they were working on dual hard drive recognition. But I also saw that some people said they were successful in syncing to their SD cards so I kept trying. A couple hours later it synced to my SD card. I was happy, I figured those FAQs might have been old and that the creators had fixed the problem. 2. A couple of weeks later I wanted the Airsync version so I wouldn't have to be bothered with the USB. The Airsync had even worse reviews but I thought I would try it and somehow thought I would be the exception. It never recognized my SD card storage after since there were more songs than my... It's a bargain since the same app is $4.99 on the Android market. I find it amusing that I can get over-the-air sync between my Mac and my Android phone, while I still have to use a USB cable for my iPad. Well, at least until IOS 5 actually comes out. LOL. To people who complaint that that got an old version of this app from Amazon, pleas note that Amazon is shipping the latest version now. You can just go to your Amazon Markets app, and get an update. Install was Easy: - Installed app on phone. The app displays a 5 digit code - Go to my Mac, download latest desktop software from their web site (free), install. - Once installed, the desktop software prompts for the 5 digit code. But after playing with it for a couple weeks, it's just not worth it. Fundamental flaw- you can ONLY sync playlists! Come on, are you serious? This means if you want to put on an album to your Android device, you have to create a playlist for it. People with iPods/iTouch/iPhones will know that they can stick the entire album on their device by just checking all the songs for that album, and iTunes had a search to allow you to quickly find the album. Next, you can't play by genre. You can only play by song, album, or playlist. Playing by album is kind-of stupid from what I mentioned before, that you actually have to create a playlist and sync the playlist to the android device to play the album. I personally like checking single songs to sync onto my iTouch and play by genre- it's faster and easier to manage than just... Read more |

Excellent I was a bit skeptical at first, but I've found AirSync handles wireless syncing very gracefully. The convenience of manging music through the desktop client and simply hitting a button is a revelation, especially for those of us used to the iTunes-sync-with-cable mentality. AirSync manages dropouts, file change, etc., very well, no mess even when interrupted midway through.
